PLEASE NOTE: Individuals from the Community if being offered a place on one of our Beginner’s courses on passing the course WILL NOT unfortunately be offered a place within the Kent Police Archery Club, as club membership is only open as a “closed club” to staff of Kent Police, but you will have gained valuable experience for joining an archery club in the community.

As previously mentioned our Beginner’s Course is a one day very intense course, running from 08:00 hrs through to 17:00 hrs managed and overseen by qualified coaches. All candidates and Coaches are covered under KPAC insurance during the course. Candidates will receive the appropriate coaching instruction with candidates using club provided equipment and instruction that will be a mixture of classroom and practical archery that will provide candidates with the basic knowledge and understanding to meet the required basic standard to be offered membership to the KPAC or any other archery club. (The standard KPAC course fee of £40.00 is of exceptional value for money, as many Beginner’s Courses in the community start from around £80.00).

Each Beginner’s course comprises of a maximum of 12 candidates. (Places do get booked very quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment). Juniors can be a candidate on these Beginner’s Courses, but we only accept juniors from the age of 10 years of age upwards. All juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, as under KPAC rules, Coaches cannot supervise juniors. Parents / Guardians must also attend and supervise juniors who ultimately may join the club, although many parents also take up archery with their children and share family bonding time together.

On signing up to one of our Have-a-Go days, or one of our Beginner Archery courses, and paying the relevant course fee, joining instructions, and further information will be sent to the candidate, prior to course commencement.
