Have-a-Go Courses for 2025
In order for you to undertake one of our courses, we will need to provide you with temporary restricted membership to our club – this will be a membership that covers up to a maximum of 2 hours instruction, and which provides you with insurance cover for the course designated period. The cost of this temporary restricted membership is covered within your course fee
If you would like to see if archery is for you, then a Have-a-Go Session is probably best. We are running 2 x sessions on each indicated day – an AM session (10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs) and a PM session (14:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs) with a maximum of 10 candidates on each session (Places do get booked very quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment). Participants can choose to take part in the AM or PM session on each day. This is not an instructional course but more of a 2-hour experience, for candidates to see if they would like to take up the sport and then if so to subsequently sign up to and undergo the required Beginner’s Course, in order to join the Kent Police Archery Club. The Have-a-Go fee is £20.00 for adults (18 yrs and over), and £10.00 for juniors (under 18 years of age). Any adult who then elects to go on to take part in a Beginners Course during 2025, having first taken part in a Kent Police Archery Club Have-a-Go day this year, will then be offered a £10.00 discount towards their Beginner’s Course (this limited offer unfortunately does not extend to juniors). (Please note the course fee is non-refundable – however if a candidate is unable to attend a date they have booked it can be transferred to another date offered). Juniors can be a candidate on these Have-a-Go sessions, but we in our club only accept juniors from the age of 10 years upwards. All juniors meeting the age criteria must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, as under KPAC rules Coaches cannot supervise juniors.) – CLICK ON RELEVANT LINK BELOW FOR PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION COMPLETION USING PARTICIPATION FORM ALSO BELOW

This is an intense course which also includes a KPAC archery beginner’s manual (supplied) mandatory pre-course read, which provides the candidate with information on what they will be doing on the day, as well as providing a “heads up” on archery techniques being used, and general information about our sport.
Kent Police Archery Club membership is open to any KPRA member, spouse, or dependent child, of such a member, also a family member or a friend of a KPRA member in their presence or a Member of the Metropolitan Police (serving officer or staff who live in Kent and have a Metpol email address). With regard to the course itself, please bring your own lunch, and your own mug as Free Tea, Coffee & Soft Drinks will be provided. You will also need a notebook / pen or pencil. All candidates and Coaches are covered under KPAC insurance during the course.
